What a week! This morning I weighed 84.2kg and on Wednesday September 6 I weighed 84kg.
I’ll blame it on Egusi soup and Samvita. The week had a few rough patches. The major lowlight was that I cracked my phone. Being that its expensive to fix, I’m trying to decide between fixing it and getting a new phone. I haven’t been able to do my youtube video updates because the video quality of the phone I’m currently using is wack! Will get back to that when I sort my phone issue out.
Back to my weightloss journey, on one of the days when I was trying to be overzealous, I ate so little for lunch and hoping it would be my last meal for the day. I didn’t realise I was setting myself up for failure. At about 7pm I got so hungry and couldn’t resist eating Egusi and Samvita. I know I could have gone for something lighter but the fact that I hadn’t eaten any of the soup after I made it, combined with my hunger, I went for it. That singular act at that time of the day threw me back almost a whole kg. I spent the next few days afterwards trying to drop weight I had already lost. On another day, I experimented eating samvita (its not part of my planned diet so it will be a while before I indulge again) at about 3pm and nothing else afterwards. The next day, I lost weight.
So, lesson learned is that:
- The time of day you eat is directly proportional to your weight loss or weight gain.
- Eat a good breakfast and a good lunch and you are more likely to easily skip dinner.
I also downloaded an app that I just started using. I think its amazing given how much I sweat for a 10-15mins workout. Its called Loose weight in 30days and you can download it on Google Play. It also has a diet plan. I have my own diet plan so I am not following theirs. I know this week will be a really good week. Excited Much.

I was stepping out of the car this evening and my phone dropped off my legs and fell on the concrete floor. I am very upset. My screen is affected and its flashing seriously. There are lines across it. We’ve called to find out how much the screen replacement is and its not cheap. I decided to quickly write my post incase it gets blank before i’m actually ready. I’ve even prayed to God to fix it for me. I don’t want to have to deal with this right now.
Anyway, onto my journey. Today i weigh 84kg. On Sunday 3rd i weighed 84.3kg. Today was a close relatives birthday and we went to have lunch. I may have overeaten. Although i had salad, it had alot of cheese on it. I also had butterfly prawns and i know it has breadcrumbs frosting. As a result, i can’t afford to not go walking this evening. I would really like to stay home because right after now i have to cook and i’m still upset about my phone. But i guess its at times like this that you have to find that inner strength and do what feels uncomfortable.
I can’t believe i’ve even written this much with this light flashing in my eyes. I literally had to put on my sunglasses.
Anyway, let me run to the kitchen. I’ll update you on my phone and weight again on Sunday 10th. Take care.
This week was a good week. I definitely did not do my best and yet i lost 2.3kg. What if i put in my best? We’ll see.
This week i had mainly beans, coleslaw, vegetable leaves (ugu), chicken, fish, sausage, pear (ube) and alot of eggs. I however found myself eating up until 7:30/8pm. I recently found out that calories consumed close to bedtime no matter how healthy, cause weight gain.
I try to eat the right amount. I make sure i’m not feeling hungry at any point in time. However, at night even though i’m not hungry, i find myself looking forward to the next morning so i can have my breakfast (smiles).
This week i’ll try and have my last meal for the day before 6pm. Lets see how it contributes to my weightloss.
